If I remember correctly you can get the doggo for the side quest in DSAF2 by just going to the Party Room 2 and summon a doggo (like you'd summon him once the quest is completed)

While the spirits had been searching for their killer to fucking murder him, he’s been looking for them too. He just had been searching for the ghosts, wanting to apologize for giving them an all expenses paid tour to London by stabbing them. The ghosts accept his verbal apology and the ghosts can rest in peace. 14:29 Fun fact: In 2018 mode you play as the voice in between nights in 1988 mode. His name is Winslow.
